How to protect the color of Metal D Ring,O Ring and Sliding
Color fading, darken and oxidation are the main problems of metal hardware of luxury bags. The main reasons are that the bag accessories are very easily oxidize because of being exposed to the air for a prolonged period, being worn by daily using, being touched by cosmetics, perfumes, other chemical products and erosion of personal perspiration. The personal perspiration pH value is different, the degree of damage to the metal surface is not the same
The first step: cleaning
-Cleaning the metal handbag accessories with metal cleaning agent.
The second step: Polishing
1. Rough Polishing: Using a few toothpaste or metal polish agent, put it on the surface of D ring or O ring or Sliding Buckle.
Then moving the remains of original color with polishing cloth, so it can make the metal hardware more smooth and more bright after color plated.
2. Cleaning again- removing the remains of the original color thoroughly
3. Fined Polishing: Carefully polishing with high density polishing Carbon Fiber cloth
The third step: Plated
1. Using dropper to put the electroplate liquid(very expensive) on the cotton, then put cotton on the Electroplating pen.
2. As below picture show, the metal accessories are connected with electric current, and the same time you brush the metal parts with electroplating pen. It is very amazing, the metal part become to gold color.
After all steps, the surface is very nice, most time the surface is better than the original color of the metal accessories of the bag when you bought it.
